किसी भी देश को परिभाषित करने के लिए उसकी संस्कृति काफी है। किसी भी देश की सबसे बड़ी पूंजी उसकी सांस्कृतिक विरासत है, और इन सब में जो सबसे प्रामाणिक स्तंभ है, वह है भाषा का।

यदि अगर हम हमारे संविधान को देखें तो हमारे संविधान निर्माताओं ने दूरदर्शिता दिखाते हुए, गहरी सोच का प्रमाण देते हुए हमें हमारी संस्कृति का बोध कराया है। सत्यमेव जयते सबसे पहले, तत्पश्चात Bull, मोहनजोदड़ो के वो Seal, हड़प्पन सिविलाइजेशन का एक संकेत, गुरुकुल संस्कृति और मौलिक अधिकारों का जब प्रश्न आता है तो हम क्या देखते हैं? अधर्म पर धर्म की विजय, मां सीता श्री राम और लक्ष्मण, अधर्म को हराकर प्रकाशमयी होकर अयोध्या लौट रहे हैं।
जब नीतिगत सिद्धांतों की बात आती है तो भारत के संविधान में कौन सा चित्र है? भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुन को कुरुक्षेत्र में उपदेश दे रहे हैं और उपदेश का मूल मंत्र क्या है? ऐसे पथ पर रहो, जो सत्य के समर्थन में है, न्याय के समर्थन में है और अडिग रहो सामने चाहे कोई भी हो।
आगे बढ़ते हैं, हर कालखंड की बात आती है, बुद्ध की आती है, महावीर की आती है। पर प्रजातंत्र का सबसे बड़ा मूल है - संवाद। अनंतवात का साहित्य से गहरा लगाव है। अनंतवात एक तरीके से चुनाव से जुड़ा हुआ है, जहां लोग अपने विचार रखते हैं, अलग-अलग बात रखते हैं। और भारत के संविधान के भाग 15 में, जहां चुनाव की चर्चा की गई है, वहां किसका चित्र है? शिवाजी महाराज का। Great Shivaji Maharaj, a great organiser, a great administrator taught us the lesson, Nationalism is beyond compromise. कभी नहीं झुके, इसीलिए संविधान निर्माताओं ने सोचकर, समझकर, दूरदर्शिता दिखाते हुए, चुनाव वाले मामले में शिवाजी महाराज का चित्र रखा है।

Barbarity and vindictiveness was in extremity. Enormity can be seen from this perspective–हमारे दिल पर चोट करने के लिए, हमारे धार्मिक स्थान के ऊपर ही अपना स्थान बना दिया। और हमारी भाषाओं को कुंठित कर दिया। यदि अगर हमारी भाषा नहीं पनपेगी, तो हमारा इतिहास भी नहीं पनपेगा।
I can say with confidence and you can have global perspective of it. Freedom to think in our own language, to nurture in our own language is a freedom too well integrated in democratic system.
If pride is to be defined, it is Maratha Pride. If chivalry is to be defined, Shivaji Maharaj, Rana Pratap.
अपने जब जाते हैं देश में कहीं भी और पाते हैं कि अचानक हमें पता लगा कि हमारे वीर कौन-कौन थे। अब इतिहास हमें दूसरे के दृष्टिकोण से नहीं देखना होगा। हमें स्वयं को देखना होगा। हमारी भाषा और भाषाएं they are jewels in our civilisation. दुनिया का कोई देश ऐसा नहीं है कि हमें कोई पाठ पढ़ा सके कि what is inclusivity? भारत एक अकेला देश है जिसकी भाषाएं दुनिया में स्थान रखती हैं। Ladies and gentlemen let me give you an insight, language is not only literature, language is beyond literature because that literature defines contemporaneous scenario, scenario existing then, the challenges faced then and it also takes note of knowledge and wisdom.
क्योंकि तकनीकी क्रांति इतनी भयावह है, Disruptive Technology on slaught is no less than another industrial revolution. मराठी से मेरा लगाव मातृभाषा का नहीं है, पर जब मैं इसको पढ़ता हूं, तो मुझे शहद जैसा मिठास आता है। मैं सब समझता हूं कि भारत के संविधान ने जो मौलिक अधिकार दिए हैं धर्म, पंथ, जात सब एक above all these things. जाणतो मराठी कितना बड़ा संदेश है!
