He was received by the Governor of Punjab, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, and the Minister for Defence Services Welfare, Freedom Fighters and Horticulture, Government of Punjab, Shri Mohinder Bhagat, along with other dignitaries. The Vice-President was also accorded a Guard of Honour upon his arrival.
