Vice-President greets the nation on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti

I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all countrymen on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. 

Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of Truth (Satyagraha) and Non-violence (Ahimsa) were the guiding light in India’s struggle for independence against colonial rule.  His relentless pursuit of freedom and equality remains a beacon- not just for Bharat, but for the global community- in our quest for a just and harmonious society.

As we pay tribute to the Father of the Nation, let us pledge to follow in his footsteps and strive to uphold Gandhi Ji’s vision of self-reliance, inclusivity and universal brotherhood for ever-greater progress of Bharat.
