P. Rakesh Ji; Faculty, other distinguished dignitaries, Staff, Parents and my dear graduating students, Sabko Namaskar!
I extend my warmest congratulations to each one of the graduates present here. Today marks not just the culmination of your academic journey, but the beginning of your role as active participants in shaping the future of our nation. I am pleased to know that I.I.M.T. University Meerut has fast emerged as a center of academic excellence with NAAC ‘A’ grade. With its modern infrastructure, and a strong focus on innovation and research, the University continues to shape future leaders who are well-equipped to meet global challenges with confidence and competence.
Dear graduates, you step into an India that is rapidly evolving, full of promises and opportunities. We are at a defining moment in India’s history. As we celebrate this milestone, it is also inspiring to witness the transformative infrastructure and development initiatives shaping this region and the nation. The Namo Bharat Train and the Meerut Metro flagged off by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji in February this year stand as shining examples of modern, efficient, and sustainable connectivity, bringing cities closer and opening new avenues of growth and opportunity for students and professionals alike. Such initiatives, along with broader national efforts like ‘Make in India’, Digital India, and Startup India, reflect a forward-looking vision of progress, innovation, and self-reliance.
Under the vision of Viksit Bharat, we are collectively working towards transforming our country into a global leader by 2047, when we celebrate 100 years of independence. This vision is a national mission that requires the energy, innovation, and commitment of young minds like yours. At the heart of this journey lies the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Dear students, you are the torch-bearers of this transformation. Your education has equipped you with knowledge and with the ability to question, to innovate, and to lead. But with this privilege comes responsibility. The responsibility to contribute to nation-building; The responsibility to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, and service; And the responsibility to ensure that progress is inclusive, sustainable, and rooted in our rich cultural heritage. I urge you to think beyond personal success. Align your ambitions with the aspirations of the nation.
Whether you choose to become entrepreneurs, professionals, researchers, or administrators, remember that your work contributes to the larger story of India’s rise on the global stage. Be job creators, not just job seekers. Embrace innovation. Support local industries. Promote home grown solutions. At the same time, let us not forget the importance of unity and social harmony alongwith economic development. Viksit Bharat @ 2047 will be more than a great economic strength. It will also focus on inclusive development, on the last village, on the last person. As educated citizens, you have a vital role in strengthening our democracy and ensuring that growth reaches every section of society. Do not fear failure. Remember that every great nation is built by citizens who learn, and who continue to move forward with determination and patience.
I am also very happy to observe a powerful and consistent trend across convocations I have been attending. Women are increasingly taking the lead and securing a remarkable share of academic honours and medals. This is not merely a statistic, but a reflection of determination, discipline, and a quiet transformation unfolding across our society. It speaks of families that encourage, institutions that support, and individuals who proceed with clarity of purpose. These achievements are reshaping aspirations and setting new benchmarks of excellence. As more women step forward with confidence and capability, they are not only excelling personally but also inspiring a generation to believe that merit, hard work, and opportunity together can create a truly progressive and inclusive India.
I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge the invaluable contribution of your parents and teachers. Behind every successful student stands a support system that has believed, encouraged, and guided. Today is as much their achievement as it is yours. I also commend the faculty and staff of the University for their dedication in shaping young minds and nurturing future leaders.
Dear graduating students, you should always respect your parents and teachers who have sacrificed so much for your success. Dear Students, you should also contribute back to your university and also to the society. I once again congratulate all the graduates. May you succeed in your personal endeavors, and may you play a meaningful role in realizing the vision of Viksit and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
- Jai Hind!
- Long Live Mother Bharat!
