Rajasthan, with its legacy of bravery, art, and cultural depth, has long been a land that nurtures excellence and character. Jaipuris a vibrant symbol of heritage and progress within the culturally rich state of Rajasthan. It is within this inspiring environment that the University of Rajasthan continues to shape generations of thinkers, leaders, and change-makers who carry forward the values of knowledge, integrity, and service to society. Established in 1947, at a defining moment in India’s history, the University of Rajasthan stands as the oldest institution of higher education in the state. Over the years, it has become a cornerstone of educational heritage and a beacon for future aspirations.
To the graduating class, I extend my heartiest congratulations. Convocation marks both an ending and a beginning. While you leave behind the familiar corridors of your university, you step into a world filled with opportunities and responsibilities. The knowledge you have gained here is a tool for progress. The true measure of your education will be seen in how you apply it to uplift others, to innovate, and to act with integrity.
As India moves forward with the vision of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the goal of a Viksit Bharat, your role becomes even more significant. You should become job creators, innovators, and nation-builders. Your ideas, enterprises, and leadership will shape the future of our country in profound ways. Under the inspiring leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma ji, the state continues to advance towards excellence, fostering innovation and opportunities for the youth. I am sure you all will add to the growth story of Rajasthan and of our great nation.
A truly developed nation cannot exist without equal opportunity, dignity, and leadership roles for its women. I am especially proud to see the young women graduating today. Your achievements are not just personal milestones, but powerful statements of progress and possibility. I am even more pleased to know that the major share of gold medal winners for 2024 and 2025 are women. I have been told that there are 95 girls out of a total 127 gold medal winners in 2024, and, 102 girls out of total 123 gold medalists in 2025. May you continue to break barriers, lead with confidence, and inspire generations to come. I am hopeful that we will see a transformation in the composition of the Parliament and State legislatures through the Nari Sakthi Vandan Adhiniyam.
We live in a time of rapid transformation technological, social, and environmental. In such an era, your ability to think critically, act ethically, and learn continuously will define your success. Do not be afraid to question, to explore new paths, or to fail because failure, when embraced wisely, is often the foundation of growth.
I urge you to remain grounded in values. Excellence without empathy is incomplete. Achievement without humility is fragile. As you rise in your respective fields, remember to carry with you compassion, respect for diversity, and a commitment to the greater good. It is good to live for yourself. But it is more important to live for the society also by contributing to its overall progress and growth. I urge you all to always say ‘No to drugs’. Also, strive to make constructive use of social media without getting enslaved by it. Parents nurture us with unconditional love and sacrifice, shaping our values from the very beginning. Teachers guide us with knowledge, discipline, and wisdom that prepares us for the future. Let the greatest respect for them be reflected in your thoughts and actions always.
To the faculty and families present here today, this achievement is yours as well. Your guidance, encouragement, and support have shaped these young minds into capable individuals ready to contribute meaningfully to society. Dear graduates, dream boldly, act responsibly, and never stop learning. I wish you success in all your future endeavors.
- Jai Hind!
- Long Live Mother Bharat!
