Today is a sacred moment of collective remembrance. We have gathered here to observe the 7th Punya Smarana of Dr. Sree Sree Shiva-kumara Maha-swami Galu the saint of Tumkur, the Nadaprabhu, whose life was a living message of compassion, sacrifice, and service. Seven years have passed since Swami ji attained Samadhi. Yet, time has not diminished his presence. If anything, his relevance has only grown stronger. In an age of uncertainty, division, and restless ambition, Swamiji’s life stands before us as a moral compass, silently asking us to choose humanity over self-interest. Sree Siddaganga Math established in the 15th century by Sree Haradanahalli Siddeshwara Swami Galu has a long tradition of spiritual seers. The Mutt today renders extensive social and educational services following the ideals established by Sree Atavi Swami galu in the 19th century. The successors of Sree ‘Atavi Swamigalu’ had served trividha dasoha at a time when food was scarce in the country. Dr. Sree Sree Shiva-kumara Maha-swamigalu assumed the responsibility of the Mutt in 1941. He was not a saint confined to rituals or sermons. He was a saint of action. He transformed spirituality into service and devotion into duty. His life reaffirmed an eternal Indian truth that Seva is Sadhana, and humanity is the highest form of worship. For more than a century, Swamiji lived a life of extraordinary simplicity and discipline. Even as he was getting aged, his young spirit never got tired.

At an age when most seek comfort, he chose commitment. At a time when many seek recognition, he chose humility. And in a power chasing world, he chose compassion. Under his guidance and the guidance of the present head, His Holiness Sree Sree Sidda-linga Maha-swamiji, the Siddaganga Mutt has become more than just a spiritual centre, it has become a great social movement. Education, Food, shelter, and knowledge are offered by the Mutt not as charity, but as a right with dignity and love. Lakhs of children from the poorest families, from every caste, community, and region, found a home in the Siddaganga institutions. This is the greatness of the Swamijis of this Mutt.  The Mutt plays a crucial role in the overall development of Bharat. We are now marching towards a Viksit Bharat, a goal set up by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shriman Narendra Modi Ji.

The Siddaganga Mutt plays a crucial role in the spiritual development of the citizens as well as the various social sectors, such as health, education and social integration. Bharat offers solutions to larger problems of the world, which can be derived from the Hindu philosophy.  Bharat’s spiritual and cultural traditions sustained society through values of dharma, seva, vasudhaiva kutumbakam, and respect for nature. In recent years, these timeless ideals have found institutional expression through governance on international platforms. Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), advocated by Shriman Narendra Modi Ji, as a solution at the climate change conference, draws directly from Hindu philosophical thought, where nature is revered as sacred—Prakriti as Shakti. It reflects the age-old Indian belief that sustainability is not a choice, but a moral duty.

The emphasis on heritage conservation, promotion of Sanskrit and traditional knowledge systems, and recognition of saints, seers, and spiritual institutions reflects a governance model that respects faith while serving all citizens equally. Importantly, this revival of Hindu conscious-ness under Shriman Modi Ji’s leadership is about the dignity of knowing who we are, where we come from, and what values guide us forward. It affirms that a nation rooted in its civilisation stands taller in the modern world confident, compassionate, and inclusive. In essence, today we have harmonised vikas and virasat development with heritage so that we progress materially while remaining spiritually anchored. Institutions such as the Siddaganga Math educate us to be spiritually anchored. Sree Sree Shiva-kumara Mahaswamigalu has taught us that true spirituality embraces everyone. His life reminds us that great souls do not ask what they will gain, but what they can give.

Today, as we remember him on this 7th commemoration day, our tribute must go beyond garlands and speeches by following his great ideals. The true homage to Swamiji lies in our actions in educating one more child, in feeding one more hungry soul, in standing with one more person in need, to follow his principles of dasoha. If we walk this path, then Swamiji will not remain a memory of the past he will be a living presence shaping our future. I conclude with deep respect and gratitude, offering our collective pranams at the holy feet of Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Mahaswamigalu. Jai Hind! Long Live Mother Bharat!
