Talking Points for the use of Hon’ble Vice-President of India at the Pujya Morari Bapu Ram Katha on 17 January 2026

    Bharat Mandapam |January 17, 2026

I touch and salute the holy feet of Bharat Mata – the Most Powerful and the Most Merciful. Hon’ble Former President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji, Founder, Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti & World Peace Centre, Acharya Lokeshji, and others.

It is an honour and privilege for me to be here today for the initiation of Pujya Morari Bapuji nine day Ram Katha. Shri Ram Katha is a profound and powerful medium for disseminating the timeless values of morality, fraternity, compassion, and humanity within society. Deeply rooted in Indian civilization, it is a cultural and ethical guide that has shaped generations. For decades, Pujya Morari Bapuji has been carrying this sacred tradition across India and around the world, using the medium of Ram Katha to awaken human consciousness and reinforce the universal values of love, service, and righteousness. Learning that this narration marks his 971st Ram Katha fills me with deep admiration and reverence for Pujya Morari Bapuji.

Ram Katha is not just a narration of a sacred epic; it is a living philosophy. It teaches us how to live with dignity, compassion, discipline, and devotion. The life and ideals of Prabhu Shri Ram, act as a guide for our Dharma. Dharma is not any specific religious following but it is the righteous way of living that upholds truth, compassion, duty, and harmony. On 25 November 2025 the entire nation witnessed a historic and deeply emotional moment when the Dhwajarohan was performed at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, under the leadership and vision of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji. That sacred and auspicious occasion was not merely the hoisting of a flag it was the reaffirmation of faith, patience, and centuries-old devotion of millions of Ram bhakts. It reminded us that Bhagwan Shri Ram is not only worshipped in temples, but lives in the soul of India. Pujya Morari Bapuji has, for decades, carried this very message of Lord Shri Ram across the world—not bound by language, geography, caste, or creed.  Through his voice, Ram Katha becomes a bridge of love, harmony, and human values.

His words touch the heart, awaken the soul, and inspire us to look inward. The life and ideals of Prabhu Shri Ram are not confined to a single language or region; it lives and breathes in the hearts of people across cultures through its many linguistic expressions.
From Valmiki’s Sanskrit Ramayana to Tulsidas’s Ramcharitmanas in Awadhi, Kamban’s Ramayanam in Tamil, and its renditions in languages across India and the world, the Ramayana reflects the unity of diverse traditions bound by shared values. Each version adds its own cultural fragrance while preserving the timeless ideals of truth, devotion, duty, and righteousness, proving that the message of Prabhu Shri Ram transcends language, space, and time. The ancient and sacred scriptures of our great nation Bharat, place immense emphasis on the ideals of world peace, co-existence, harmony, and balance, presenting them as eternal and universal principles.

Epics such as the Ramcharitmanas, the Bhagavad Gita, the Adi Purana, and the Jain Agamas offer profound spiritual and philosophical insights that continue to guide humanity. As we begin these nine sacred days of Ram Katha let us not come here only as listeners, but also as seekers.  If even a small part of Lord Ram’s ideals enters our daily conduct, these nine days will become a true spiritual transformation. I would like to congratulate and commend the organizers, volunteers, and all those who have worked tirelessly to make this grand spiritual gathering possible. Such events strengthen not only individual faith but also social harmony and cultural continuity. May these nine days of Ram Katha fill our hearts with peace, our minds with clarity, and our lives with purpose. May the blessings of Lord Shri Ram guide our thoughts, words, and actions. Once again, I bow with reverence to Pujya Morari Bapuji and wish all devotees a spiritually enriching Ram Katha. Jai Shri Ram! Jai Hind! Long Live Mother Bharat!
