At the outset, I would like to extend my wishes to all of you on the New Year! This week, though we celebrated New Year in different regions, languages, and traditions, they all mark the same spirit of renewal, gratitude, and hope. Each festival, in its own unique way, brings families and communities together, honouring nature’s abundance and the start of a new year. It reminds us that while our customs may differ, our values remain united, strengthening the bond of harmony, respect, and collective identity that defines India.
Today, we mark 25 years of Balagokulam. It is a celebration of a vision, a journey, and a legacy that has shaped generations of young minds. Balagokulam is much more than an organization—it has been a place where culture meets character. Balagokulam, traces its inspiration to the sacred soil of Kerala – God’s Own Country. The very land that gave birth to the Adi Shankaracharya ji. Just as Adi Shankaracharya ji carried the message of unity, knowledge, and dharma across Bharat, Balagokulam is instilling those same ideals in the younger generation through stories, games, and cultural activities rooted in our rich heritage.
In today’s rapidly changing world, there are many distractions. Moreover, values are often tested in these challenging times. It is here that institutions like Balagokulam serve as guiding lights. They connect our children to their roots while preparing them to face the future with confidence and clarity. In many ways, this reflects the national vision of “Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi”.
Our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shriman Narendra Modi ji has, on several occasions, emphasized this very balance. He has called upon citizens, especially the youth, to take pride in India’s civilisational heritage while striving for excellence in modern fields. His vision for “Amrit Kaal” stresses upon the importance of nurturing responsible, value-driven citizens who can lead the nation into a prosperous future.
My dear children, you are the true torch-bearers of this organization legacy. The lessons you learn here—respect for elders, love for our culture, teamwork, and self-discipline—will stay with you throughout your lives. I would also like to express my appreciation to the dedicated volunteers and teachers who have tirelessly contributed to this noble mission. Your commitment and passion are the pillars upon which this remarkable journey stands. To the parents, I extend my appreciation for entrusting your children to this beautiful initiative.
Krishnarpanam, a beautiful offering of devotion, is being organized as a sacred tribute during this Rajat Jayanti celebration. The very meaning of Krishnarpanam, “offering everything to Lord Krishna”, inspires us to dedicate our thoughts, actions, and talents to a higher purpose. Lord Krishna’s life was about dharma, doing what is right for the greater good. From guiding Arjuna on the battlefield to uplifting the humble and the weak, Lord Krishna showed us that true greatness lies in upholding dharma. His message reminds us that every action, when performed with sincerity and without selfish desire, becomes an offering to God.
Let us inspire our children to walk this path. To serve their communities and to dedicate their efforts for the welfare of all. When we act with such a spirit, we truly live the essence of Lord Krishna’s teachings, transforming our daily lives into a sacred contribution to society.
As we celebrate this Silver Jubilee, let us look ahead with renewed determination. Let this milestone inspire us to expand our reach and deepen our impact. May Balagokulam continue to flourish and illuminate countless lives in the years to come.
- Jai Hind!
- Long Live Mother Bharat!
