He was warmly received at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar, by the Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati; the Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi; and other dignitaries. The Vice-President was also accorded a Guard of Honour upon his arrival.
